Indiana Jones fans worship at the temple of St John’s!
We all recognise the almost religious lure of retail therapy, and it was with this in mind that Volpa created the ‘Mrs Jones and the Temple of Shopping’ campaign for St John’s Shopping Centre in Perth.

Timed to coincide with the release of the latest Indiana Jones movie, the main objective of the campaign was to gather customer information for the e-mail database.

A staggering 91% of mall retailers supported the ten day event and an associated ‘Young Jones and the Temple of Lost Treasures’ treasure hunt aimed at under-sixteen’s.

For every £30 spent in centre stores, participants were entered in a prize draw to win £500 worth of goodies.

Young adventurers could search for Indiana Jones themed items hidden in shop windows for the opportunity to win a Nintendo Game Cube.

The fun family promotion generated one of the highest entries to a St John’s Shopping Centre customer competition in the last two years, as well as having the highest number of participating stores.

Visitor numbers to the mall increased during the period of the promotion and the valuable data collected will enhance future campaigns.
