Award Winning Marketing for The Enchanted Forest
A 9 month award winning project saw The Enchanted Forest set a number of new records in 2008:
•Highest Ever Ticket Sales in the event’s 7 year history
•Fastest Ever Ticket Sales Sales in the event’s 7 year history
•Highest ever economic impact of the event on the local community
•Highest number of press articles ever generated by the event
•Highest ever response to a customer feedback survey
•Highest number of visitors to the event’s website
Using the media to interest potential visitors with simple “calls to action” such as visiting the Enchanted Forest website or dedicated booking line, the event sales for the event sold faster than ever before.
A dedicated preview night for the press resulted in attendance by all of Scotland’s national newspapers and more than 28 pieces of print coverage being generated once the show had started, plus two televised slots on BBC Scotland’s news programmes and STV’s Five Thirty Show.
Evidence from the customer feedback questionnaire indicated that 20% of visitors in 2008 heard about the event via a press article. Press coverage for the 2008 was estimated to be valued at just below £233,000.
Volpa have since been re-appointed to handle the PR and marketing for The Enchanted Forest 2009.
